Our mission

Every Dog Deserves Kindness. Every Dog Deserves a Chance.

Our mission is to make positive, force-free dog training accessible to everyone, helping dogs build confidence, feel safe, and thrive through kindness, patience, and understanding — no matter where their journey began. Through our partnership program, we bring together dog trainers, rescue organizations, and veterinary clinics to create a greater impact, supporting those who dedicate their lives to helping animals and giving more dogs the chance they deserve.

Because this is about more than training. It's about compassion, community, and creating a kinder world for every dog.

Together, we can make a difference — one dog, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.

What Gunnar's Place is

It's a full dog training course you work through at your own pace, designed and led by a real trainer. Every lesson is real filmed footage with real trainers and real dogs — none of it is AI-generated. In many lessons the dog is learning the cue for the first time right alongside you, so what you see is genuine, in-the-moment progress you can expect at home. Instead of a folder of unrelated clips, you follow a plan: Puppy Fundamentals, Basic Manners, Intermediate and Advanced, each broken into short lessons with written steps you can follow with your dog right away.

Around that course sits everything else training needs: a rescue dog program for adopted dogs, a vet-visit confidence program and a grooming confidence program for the appointments every dog has to face, a trick library for fun, a searchable troubleshooting library for the problems that come up, a weekly photo timeline and progress tracking, long-form masterclasses (sold separately as in-app purchases), a members' community with Ask a Trainer (only approved, verified trainers can respond), a blog of expert articles, and 1:1 virtual consults when you want a trainer's eyes on your dog. All of it is reward-based — the app never asks you to correct, startle or punish your dog.

Two new programs

Vet visits and grooming, without the worry

Alongside the main course, two 20-lesson confidence programs cover the appointments dogs find hardest. Both are written, step-by-step guides you work through at home — no video needed — with a comfort scale, progress tracking and a printable plan you can share with your vet or groomer.

Why this one

Why it's the best way to train your dog online

Most online dog training is a folder of videos with no plan. This is a course: the same methods a good trainer would teach in person, sequenced one lesson at a time so each lesson builds on the last, with your pup's progress in one place.

Positive reinforcement only

Every lesson, trick and fix in this app is reward-based. There are no corrections, no aversive tools and no punishment anywhere in the training.

A curriculum in the right order

Four progressive tiers take you from your pup's first week home to advanced off-leash work, so you never have to guess what to train next.

Five-minute sessions

Lessons are built for real life: short, focused practice with a clear goal, a marker and a reward — then you get on with your day.

Progress you can actually see

Lesson tracking, a weekly photo timeline, behaviour logs, badges and tier certificates show how far you and your dog have come.

Help when something goes wrong

A searchable troubleshooting library for barking, jumping, chewing, begging, pulling and recall — plus a members' community where Ask a Trainer lets you post a question and get an answer from a verified trainer, and 1:1 virtual consults when you want eyes on your dog.

Train anywhere, on any device

No travel, no class times, no waiting for the next term. Open the app in your kitchen, your garden or the park and pick up exactly where you left off.

Our honest advice

Pair this with group classes near you

We always recommend joining group classes with a local trainer, especially while your puppy is young. Being around other puppies and people is one of the best things you can do for their socialization, and a trainer watching your dog in person gives you hands-on insight you simply cannot get from a screen.

A professional trainer sees the detail as it happens — how your puppy is holding themselves, how fast they recover from a surprise, how they greet another dog — and can correct your timing, distance and reward delivery in the moment. That is the part of training that has to be learned with someone beside you.

Socialization while they're young

Puppies go through their main socialization window before around 16 weeks. A local group class safely introduces them to other puppies, friendly adults, new surfaces, sounds and handling — the everyday experiences that build a confident, relaxed adult dog.

Hands-on insight from a trainer

A professional trainer in the room watches your puppy's body language in real time — a stiffened stance, a tucked tail, a pup that has had enough — and coaches you on when to step in, when to give space, and how to keep the session fun.

Small problems caught early

That live feedback means the little things get noticed while they are still little: an overwhelmed puppy, a greeting tipping into rough play, the first signs of guarding. A trainer can adjust the exercise on the spot and give you tips that head off trouble down the road.

The perfect support for the journey

A class coaches you once a week; the app is with you every day. Short video lessons, a step-by-step curriculum that tracks what you have completed, and a troubleshooting library mean you always know exactly what to practise next and can bring better questions to your trainer.

This app is the perfect support for that journey

The class gives you live, hands-on coaching; the app keeps you moving every other day of the week. Practise the same reward-based exercises between classes, tick off each lesson as you go, look up help in the troubleshooting library when something gets tricky, and check in with other owners in the community. Used together, you always know what to work on next. Look for a force-free, reward-based class near you.

Track progress and move up

Check off lessons, log behaviour and add photos. When a tier is done, you earn a certificate and unlock the next one.
