Our mission
Every Dog Deserves Kindness. Every Dog Deserves a Chance.
Our mission is to make positive, force-free dog training accessible to everyone, helping dogs build confidence, feel safe, and thrive through kindness, patience, and understanding — no matter where their journey began. Through our partnership program, we bring together dog trainers, rescue organizations, and veterinary clinics to create a greater impact, supporting those who dedicate their lives to helping animals and giving more dogs the chance they deserve.
Because this is about more than training. It's about compassion, community, and creating a kinder world for every dog.
Together, we can make a difference — one dog, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.

What Gunnar's Place is
It's a full dog training course you work through at your own pace, designed and led by a real trainer. Every lesson is real filmed footage with real trainers and real dogs — none of it is AI-generated. In many lessons the dog is learning the cue for the first time right alongside you, so what you see is genuine, in-the-moment progress you can expect at home. Instead of a folder of unrelated clips, you follow a plan: Puppy Fundamentals, Basic Manners, Intermediate and Advanced, each broken into short lessons with written steps you can follow with your dog right away.
Around that course sits everything else training needs: a rescue dog program for adopted dogs, a trick library for fun, a searchable troubleshooting library for the problems that come up, a weekly photo timeline and progress tracking, long-form masterclasses (sold separately as in-app purchases), a members' community with Ask a Trainer (only approved, verified trainers can respond), a blog of expert articles, and 1:1 virtual consults when you want a trainer's eyes on your dog. All of it is reward-based — the app never asks you to correct, startle or punish your dog.
The free trial includes a limited set of lessons. Then only $29.99 CAD a month, cancel anytime.
Why this one
Why it's the best way to train your dog online
Most online dog training is a folder of videos with no plan. This is a course: the same methods a good trainer would teach in person, sequenced one lesson at a time so each lesson builds on the last, with your pup's progress in one place.
Positive reinforcement only
Every lesson, trick and fix in this app is reward-based. There are no corrections, no aversive tools and no punishment anywhere in the training.
A curriculum in the right order
Four progressive tiers take you from your pup's first week home to advanced off-leash work, so you never have to guess what to train next.
Five-minute sessions
Lessons are built for real life: short, focused practice with a clear goal, a marker and a reward — then you get on with your day.
Progress you can actually see
Lesson tracking, a weekly photo timeline, behaviour logs, badges and tier certificates show how far you and your dog have come.
Help when something goes wrong
A searchable troubleshooting library for barking, jumping, chewing, begging, pulling and recall — plus a members' community where Ask a Trainer lets you post a question and get an answer from a verified trainer, and 1:1 virtual consults when you want eyes on your dog.
Train anywhere, on any device
No travel, no class times, no waiting for the next term. Open the app in your kitchen, your garden or the park and pick up exactly where you left off.
The free trial includes a limited set of lessons. Then only $29.99 CAD a month, cancel anytime.
Our honest advice
Pair this with group classes near you
We always recommend joining group classes with a local trainer, especially while your puppy is young. Being around other puppies and people is one of the best things you can do for their socialization, and having a trainer watch your dog in person adds insight you simply can't get from a screen.
Socialization while they're young
Puppies have a short window for getting comfortable with other dogs, people and busy places. A local group class puts them in that environment safely, with guidance.
A trainer's eyes on your dog
A trainer in the room sees things a video can't — the small behaviours starting to show — and can offer tips that head off problems down the road.
This app supports that journey
Use the lessons here to practise between classes, keep the same reward-based approach, and track what you're working on week to week.
What's inside
One app, the whole training journey
You get a complete, ordered course rather than scattered clips — plus the extras that keep you going when training gets tricky.
1. Puppy Fundamentals
Socialization, crate confidence, potty training and the first weeks home.
2. Basic Manners
Rewards and positions, leave it, stay, leash walking, recall, settle and handling.
3. Intermediate Training
Heeling, longer stays with distractions, games that teach, and off-leash recall.
4. Advanced Training
Heel free, voice-only and signal-only work, out-of-sight stays, drop on recall.
Owner led service dog training
Foundation cues, public access preparation, PAT checklists and task work, with step-by-step positive reinforcement guidance and owner-trainer tips for every cue.

How it works
Three steps to your first lesson
Create your pup's profile
Add your dog's name, age and goals. The app picks the right starting point and shows you today's lesson.
Train in five-minute sessions
Watch the lesson, then follow the written steps with your dog. Mark the moment it clicks and reward generously.
Track progress and move up
Check off lessons, log behaviour and add photos. When a tier is done, you earn a certificate and unlock the next one.
